The MiniCR was an application that was actually very similar to the
RFP Cut&Paste application. Internally, Oracle has an extremely large
Corporate Repository(CR) of thousands upon thousands of documents. The
only problem with it was filtering what you needed since the search
engine was not very good at the time.
The MiniCR became a small repository where we could store our important healthcare
documents in a central place. These were documents such as presentations, data
sheets, and RFIs/RFPs.
The system was queryable, but it was only able to do simple text searches based
on the names or descriptions of the documents that were entered. Again,
I would have liked to incorporate the Context/Intermedia database option for more sophisticated text
searches, but that required more time than I was able to spare.
