The Web Scheduler was an early version of an online group calendar application
like the Yahoo! Calendar. This version was originally written by another Oracle
employee, but it was customized to fit our group's needs by myself and another
member of our team.
My supervisor made sure that everyone in the Healthcare group used this application
to schedule demos, presentations, and other appointments. This application was
used by both the technical team and the sales team and was very important in
terms of documenting committed times.
Our group was very spread out across the country so the organization was critical.
In fact, I was the only technical person in our group on the West coast and my
Technical Team Leader was based in Atlanta, and our manager was based in Detroit.
